Game Summary: Waupun showed why they are the fifth ranked team in the state. They would pound out 13 hits, including three wind-aided home runs, to blow past the Beavers by a score of 14-6. The Warriors had three base hits and were aided by two Cumberland errors to take a four run lead in the 1st. The Beavers rallied for two runs in the second inning when Tim Carlson singled and advanced to 3rd when Brady Rose doubled. Catcher Beau Bergstrom lined to RF for a base hit, knocking in both runners. Shoddy defense and impressive Waupun hitting led to the Warriors taking a 14-4 lead into the fifth. The Beavers fought back, scoring four runs in the top of the fifth. Four Beavers drew walks and CF Tommy Zappa and LF Graham Miller added singles to help the Beavers from getting ten-runned and pushing the game into a full seven innings. Unfortunately, that's all the Beavers could muster as they went quietly in the sixth and seventh innings, while Waupun added single runs in both the fifth and sixth.
